The Secret to Inner Peace: Recharging from Within

The Secret to Inner Peace: Recharging from Within

I bought a candle labeled “Inner Peace.”I thought it might serve as a little nudge to help me slow down, reflect, and reconnect. But as I watched it burn, I realized—inner peace doesn’t come from candles. It doesn’t come from anything external, really.

It was a quiet reminder: I’ve been looking for ways to recharge myself.

We’re so good at keeping our devices fully charged—our phones, laptops, earbuds, even our speakers. But when was the last time you gave yourself that same care?

As we step into a new season, I’m inviting you (and myself) to focus on what truly replenishes your energy. Not just the typical self-care ideas we hear about, but the things that are authentic to you.

Here are a few things that help me feel grounded and recharged:

  • Quiet time – whether through meditation, prayer, or simple silence

  • Encouraging music – something that lifts my spirit

  • Rest – good, nourishing sleep or even a 20-minute nap

  • Movement – especially swimming or aerobic exercise

  • Sauna time – warmth, stillness, and letting go

I encourage you to create your own list—notice what truly restores you. Inner peace isn't something we chase. It's something we nurture by listening to ourselves and choosing what feels right.
